Bobby Shmurda's mother says that, despite what the rapper might think, he is getting paid for his live shows. Leslie Pollard, who also acts as Shmurda's manager, says the problem is that her son just doesn't understand how business works.
“He’s new to the business,” Pollard tells Billboard. “There’s a chain of command that he has to go through before he gets his payment. I guess he’s thinking all the money should go from the front man to his hands — it doesn’t work like that. Of course they hold onto it so he actually does the show. Then it goes to his business manager, then to the touring accountant and then to him.”
Earlier this week Shmurda posted that he was so frustrated about not getting paid that he was thinking of returning to drug dealing.
The Quickies:

Is having a parent as a manager a good idea?
