BOB SCHIEFFER: Longtime Newsman Retiring

Longtime CBS anchor and journalist Bob Schieffer has announced his retirement.

After nearly 50 years with CBS and 25 as host of the Sunday morning show Face the Nation, the 78-year-old says he will step down this summer. While giving a speech at Texas Christian University, his Alma mater, Schieffer said, "It's been a great adventure. I'm one of the luckiest people in the world, because as a little boy, as a young reporter, I always wanted to be a journalist, and I got to do that." (People)
