Blacks Support Same Sex Marriage/SCLC under fire/AKOO Ad Removed

BLACKS CRUCIAL IN PASSING OF D-C SAME SEX MARRIAGE LAW

Same-sex marriage will soon be legal in Washington, D-C, thanks largely to the black community. Michael Crawford, of the same-sex union advocacy group D-C for Marriage, tells the Associated Press, "Outreach to African-Americans wasn't part of the campaign. It was the campaign." Supporters suggested that same-sex marriage bans are as ridiculous as the interracial marriage bans overturned by the Supreme Court in 1967.

BAD NEWS FOR SCLC

The Fulton County District Attorney's Office in Georgia has launched an investigation into alleged financial misconduct by top officials at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Under specific scrutiny are national board chairman Raleigh Trammell and former national treasurer Spiver Gordon, who allegedly embezzled at least 569-thousand dollars.

AKOO AD TO BE REMOVED

The Akoo jeans ad that caused a stir in Newark, New Jersey will be coming down, according to the Associated Press. Earlier this week, a spokeswoman for C-B-S Outdoor, which owns the billboard, confirmed the ad will be taken down but did not specify a date. C-B-S has acknowledged that it's responding to feedback from Newark residents. Many objected to the billboard's use of a black female model and the suggestion of oral sex.

* Do you believe there could have been any wrongdoing by S-C-L-C officials?

Absolutely! They are humans and as humans we are always subject to temptations.

* Why do people in positions of authority act unethically despite so many being caught before them?

People act unethically despite people being caught before them because they think They will be the exception. Everyone always thinks that they are smarter or better or whatever than the next person, therefore what happened to that person won't happen to them. Trust me it's a "wholesome" athlete out there that's cheating on his wife, or taking steroids, or carrying a gun somewhere he shouldn't. Why? because those other guys were "stupid" but they are smarter than them.
