Bishop T.D. Jakes Takes Legal Action Against Young Jeezy & Kendrick Lamar’s “Holy Ghost” Remix

Jeezy and Kendrick Lamar are under fire for the "Holy Ghost".

Earlier this month, Jeezy put out his seventh studio album, Seen It All: The Autobiography. It features a remix of the single "Holy Ghost" featuring Kendrick. In the beginning of the song you can hear an excerpt of T.D. Jakes’ sermon “Don’t Let The Chatter Stop You.”

Jeezy and Kendrick fans love the track but Bishop Jakes -- not so much. A note posted on Facebook said the song "was produced without the knowledge or consent of [my ministries]. We are taking the necessary legal actions to stop the unauthorized use of T.D. Jakes’ intellectual property."

Which of the following thoughts are you having right now:

a)  They should have asked for permission.

b)  If his message can reach the youth, then why punish the messengers?

c)  Jakes is threatening to sue over intellectual property rights, but if it's a sermon, shouldn't that be God's property?

d)  Bishop's company wants a cut on those CD Sales?
