BEYONCE: Mother of New Sibling an Opportunist?

Earlier this week, DNA tests proved that Matthew Knowles is the father of a four-year-old. TaQoya Branscomb, the mother of Beyonce’s new half-sister Koi Knowles, was awarded $1,500 a month in child support and since has been accused of being an opportunist, but Branscomb says she's not looking for a handout.

The lingerie-model-turned-real-estate agent tells RumorFix, “Mathew and I had a romantic relationship in 2009 during a difficult time in his life. It had nothing to do with Beyoncé’s music career. Despite the media speculations, I am not an ‘opportunist,’ if that was the case I would’ve spoken out four years ago.” 

The single mom says her daughter Koi has been modeling and acting way before the media got involved in the paternity case and claims she did everything in her power "to keep this out of the public eye [but] was forced to rely on the Houston court system to get guideline support." Branscomb explained she's "open to her [daughter] having a relationship with her father and all her extended family members. Whether or not that happens, Koi will be just fine."

TaQoya is in the process of launching her daughter’s child lip-gloss and haircare line.
