Four was the magic number for President Obama on Tuesday night, thanks to his pals Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
The power couple hosted a fundraiser for the president at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in New York City, collecting four million dollars, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Attendees paid 40 thousand bucks per person.
Obama thanked Beyoncé and Jay-Z for their friendship, and praised both of them. He said, "Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls."
He also joked that he and Jay-Z "have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we've got a little bond there. It's hard but it's okay."
Last week, Beyoncé sent an email to Obama supporters touting a contest that gave away airfare, hotel accommodations and admission to the fundraiser.
