Patti then took the microphone and performed "Love, Need and Want You" and "Lady Marmalade."
  • DJ Khaled, Drake and Lil Wayne hit the stage and performed "On One." When Weezy hit the stage, he was shirtless and wearing a pair of boxer shorts with a U.S. flag.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • During the pre-show, DJ Khaled premiered the music video for his new single "On One" featuring Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. In the video the guys were mostly hanging out in Drizzy's condo or seen driving their fancy cars down the streets feeling good about their money.
  • Host Kevin Hart then came out with a group of young kids, and performed a step-show. While still winded, he went into a set where he said he was the "No Man," and he took the time to make fun of all the celebs within sight. "No one is safe tonight," he reminded the audience.
  • Jaden and Willow Smith won the Young Stars award and thanked their proud mom and dad, who were smiling and cheering them on from the audience.
  • Kevin Hart premiered a trailer for his faux-show Real Husbands of Hollywood, in which he, Bobby BrownNelly, and Nick Cannon mocked shows in the vein of the Real Housewives.
  • When Nicki Minaj accepted her award for Best Female Hip-Hop artist, she said, "I can't believe I won," and then tried multiple times to rescind her statement when she realized that she sounded a little too cocky.
  • Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber hit the stage with "Team Minaj" and "Team Bieber" and did a back-and-forth flirting before announcing Kanye West -- who wasn't present -- as the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist.
  • BET President Debra Lee honored comedian Steve Harvey and presented him with the State Farm Humanitarian Award.
  • Wiz Khalifa was kissing his girlfriend Amber Rose -- and the camera caught it.
  • When it was time for Terrence J to present the Coca Cola Viewers' Choice Award, he mistakenly said Chris Brown, when the real winner was his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. To make it even more awkward, the person who came up to get the award was Drake -- her other alleged fling.
  • Warren G and Snoop, dressed in all black, paid tribute to their fallen homie Nate Dogg by performing "Regulate."
