BENZINO: Got Canned Because of Death Threats

It wasn't the reunion brawl that got Benzino fired from Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta -- it was that he couldn't let it go. According to Stevie J, Benzino threatened his and Joseline Hernandez's life, as well as those of producers and other show staffers.

As we reported last month, Benzino was let go after a huge brawl erupted at the taping of a reunion show in New York. It was so bad that an arrest warrant was issued for Joseline. But VH1 has never had a problem with ratchet, and that wasn't enough to get Benzino the boot. Stevie says, "He said flat-out he was going to kill us."

Unsurprisingly, Benzino says it's all a crock. He calls Stevie a "habitual liar" and believes VH1 "wanted to keep the crackhead whore" for ratings.
