Azealia Banks Trolls Iggy Azalea

Tensions rose yesterday in the wake of the grand jury's decision not to indict the police officer who gave Eric Garner a chokehold leading to his death.

Azealia Banks took the opportunity to call out Iggy Azalea. The Harlem rapper tweeted (quote) “It’s funny to see people like Igloo Australia silent when these things happen... Black Culture is cool, but black issues sure aren't huh?”

Followed with (quote) “If you're down to ride with us bitch, you gotta RIDE ALL THE WAY.”

In case you missed it, Igloo Australia is code for white rapper Iggy Azalea, who was born and raised down under before immigrating to Florida as a teen. Iggy has seen waves of resentment from rappers for hogging the headlines and Billboard charts. In the words of Azealia (quote) “And the media needs to STOP trying to move Igloo in on what Nicki [Minaj] has established.”

Iggy responded in a series of tweets. She started with (quote) “I see all hell broke loose while I was at rehearsals today.”

She sent another dozen tweets providing links toward making social change and encouraging her fans to be politically active if they are disturbed by Eric Garner’s death at the hands of the police.

Iggy then concluded with one final slam at Azealia (quote) “CLEARLY your CONCERN is finding any reason to promote shade, trolling, fan fights and memes. I know you guys by now, you don't fool me.”
