Singer Ashanti learned this lesson on Sunday. She posted on her Instagram account that her show at New York City’s Club Mixx had been cancelled due to the police shutting the club down.

Now in the age of technology it is quite easy to investigate such claims. Especially when the representative of the club is on social media. The promoter set the record straight that her show was cancelled because of low ticket sales. “OUCH!”
