Antioch Man Identified In Today's US Captiol Shooting

NBC News reports a man taken into custody following a shooting at the Capitol Visitors Center in Washington, DC on Monday is from Antioch.

Police in Washington identified the suspect as 66-year-old Larry Dawson.

Capitol police said Dawson tried to go through a metal detector at the visitors center with a gun. He then drew the weapon and was shot by a Capitol police officer.

Dawson is currently undergoing surgery. His condition is unknown.
