There's more trouble in the NFL. Following late week's drama surrounding a video showing now-former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice knocking out his then-fiancée in an elevator, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was indicted Saturday on charges of child abuse.
Peterson turned himself in on Saturday and posted $15,000 bail. If prosecutors are able to successfully prove that Peterson's beating of his four-year-old son went beyond normal discipline, he could end up spending two years in prison and face a $10,000 fine.
Peterson was deactivated by the Vikings prior to Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. An attorney for the star running back said in the statement that the charges against Peterson stem from his use of a switch -- a tree branch -- to spank his son at his home in Houston. The beating left the boy with cuts and bruises on the back of his legs!
How many reading this right now got the "Switch" whoopin' growing up???
