So full of promise, so full of hope....

Made few bad choices, now he's on the ropes....

So full of talent, wise beyond his years.....

Yet he always seems to fill his Momma's eyes with tears....

His Daddy was never around, no father figure, no role model….

So instead of a stern hand, Momma chose to spoil & cottle.

She did the best she could but like father, like son….

As hard as she tried, she never envisioned what her baby would become.

Her baby getting older; his behavior is no longer “cute”.

Every attempt at discipline was met with refute.

Now a teenager, his behavior is getting worse….

Momma’s at her wits end, tempers about to burst.

But Momma don't know nothin', he's so much "smarter"....

But if that were true, why does "smart" make things harder?

Never taking into account the price for his action....

All he seems to care about is his own satisfaction....

Hanging out with his friends, spending money, getting gear....

Music videos, writing “raps” and playing hoops for his school every year.

Face book, weed, girls and sex, that's his only concern....

I guess the hard way is the ONLY way he'll ever learn.

His Momma gives him everything, but he gives nothing in return....

A false sense of entitlement, nothing is ever earned.

But he's so hard headed, thinks he's so slick,

Bet he didn't think he'd get caught up so quick.

Taking it all for granted, "I've got plenty of time" or so he thinks....

So he continues to "play around" while his life quickly sinks.

"I don't care about school, I don't see the meaning...." so he spends all of his time wishing on a star, daydreaming....

"I'm gonna be a rapper, I'm gonna play ball.... I'm gonna be blinged out, I'm gonna have it all...."

But how you gonna get it when you don't have a plan.... tell me how you gonna get it when you don't have a plan?

How can you succeed at anything when all you do is play....?

Can't dream about tomorrow when you can't see past today.

Success within your grasp, so close you can taste it....

But dreams without a plan = your whole life wasted.

Now he’s barely 21, three kids and three baby mommas.  

20 plus years of more unneeded drama.

Arrested more times than he can count, fines, fees & arrears continue to mount.

No education, no job, no means of support....

Will surely have him revolving in & out of court.

Still for him “no worries” is his attitude, not realizing for some one his age just how much his life is truly screwed.

It’s never too late to turn things around, do you have what it takes….

To change this vicious cycle of costly mistakes?

Your future is on the line, only you can choose....

Your life is at stake, you can win or you can lose....
