50 Cent is no longer signed to Dr. Dre, but that isn't going to stop the dynamic duo from collaborating.

On Thursday, the G-Unit juggernaut announced his split with Eminem's Shady Records, Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. Then, on Friday, he dropped "Funeral" from his upcomingAnimal Ambition LP, kicking off his deal with Caroline Distribution and Capitol Music Group.

For his next trick, Fif is hooking back up with his "In da Club" producer for a new track called "Smoke."

"This one is produced by Dr. Dre," he told the Associated Press on Saturday, while he was at NASCAR's Daytona 500 race.

After the split with Shady, Eminem has expressed support for his rap protégé and his new endeavors. "Both myself and Shady Records are grateful to have had the chance to play a part in 50′s career," Em said in a statement released Thursday. "Shady simply would not be what it is without 50 Cent. I've developed a great friendship with 50 over the years, and that's not going to change. We know 50 will have success in his new situation, and we remain supporters of both him and G-Unit."

50 believes that his new distribution deal for G-Unit, which is structured through an independent channel, will free him up to make unique brand partnerships that he couldn't make under the Interscope umbrella.

"On the brand extension, it's obvious I've been the leader in that actual area," he said. "When I fell in love with hip-hop culture, it was actually the opposite, it would be selling out. To be an artist and be associated with a major corporation was a crossover. I had enough of a bad-boy image at that point to do what I wanted to do and knew it was bigger business-wise."
