50 Cent can’t pay his bills — without a bankruptcy court judge signing off.

The G-Unit founder is asking permission so he can cut the checks to keep the lights on at his Connecticut estate. The court has required 50 to get approval before settling up basic monthly expenses like electric, gas, phone and trash removal.

Of course, Curtis’ bills run a lot higher than the average Joe’s. Between just gas and electric costs, it costs an average of 10,597 to maintain the 50,000 square foot property. (TMZ)

Say What:

  •  That house is a money pit. Mike Tyson tried to pawn it off for years and now it’s 50’s problem.
  •  Do you think his bankruptcy strategy is working out as planned or has it backfired?
  •  First Tyson, now 50. That house is cursed.
  •   It's probably been a while since a guy in 50's position has received a "Final Turn-Off Notice" from the utility company.
  •   Next time you complain that your bills are too high, just remember — it could be worse.
  •   If he’s really bankrupt, he needs to start renting out some of the rooms in that mansion or move out.
