The Los Angeles Lakers signed Kobe Bryant to a two-year extension on Monday for $48 million that makes the 35-year-old superstar the highest player in the league.
Perhaps more mind blowing is the fact that the new deal will bring Kobe's total career earnings from the Lakers to about $328 million.
The deal will expire after Kobe's 20th season with the Lakers, making him the only player in NBA history to play with one team for two complete decades. However, it remains to be seen if Kobe can still play. He's still recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered in April, but he's expected to play before the end of the month.
