TLC's Story Unvieled First Hand: VH1 Set to Air the Original Movie

And the countdown begins!
Next week, VH1 will premiere the highly-anticipated TLC biopic “CrazySexyCool” and from the looks of the newest supertrailer, it’s a must-see, especially, for TLC fans. The movie goes through the triumphs and tragedies of the chart-topping girl group, including their rise to fame, infamous headlines and loss of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. In the trailer alone, there were no stones left unturned as we see T-Boz become ill with sickle cell anemia, Chilli get pregnant by producer Dallas Austin (Evan Ross), and Left Eye smack up her man and a chick he’s caught cheating with, before setting his mansion on fire. The group also goes broke and bankrupt at the peak of their careers. There’s a lot to take in in under two minutes.
According to the group’s long-time manager and executive producer Bill Diggins:
[T-Boz and Chilli] told [their story] accurately and they told it in a way that, at some points, wasn’t so flattering to them. They wanted the truth to be told, so I would say that you’re not going to get a more accurate depiction of these girls’ lives from anybody. This is the good, the bad and the ugly.
Yesterday, TLC’s 20th Anniversary album, 20, hits stores, and you can catch T-Boz and Chilli on Good Morning America, The View, and Wendy Williams promoting the movie and album throughout the rest of the week.
Word is that the posters for the TV movie are so hot, that they are being stolen off of bus stops around the Atlanta area.
