NBA: Bulls Surprise Heat, Spurs Outlast Warriors in Double OT

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James received the Most Valuable Player trophy before Monday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Apparently that only served as motivation for the underdog Chicago Bulls, who stunned the Heat with a 93-86 victory in Miami.

It was Bulls guard Nate Robinson who stole the show with a game-high 37 points, including a shot late in the fourth quarter that gave the Bulls the lead, 88-86. OC:…for time.

LeBron had 24 points, but the Bulls tough defensive kept him quiet for three quarters, and Chicago went off with 35 points in the fourth quarter to cruise to a relatively easy victory. Game 2 is Wednesday in Miami.

In the night's other game, the veteran San Antonio Spurs held off the upstart Golden State Warriors in a hard fought battle that went into double overtime. The Spurs' Manu Ginobili was the hero of the night, hitting a three-pointer with 3.9 seconds left in the second overtime to give the Spurs a 129-127 victory. Game 2 is Wednesday in San Antonio.
