Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime performance may have been hot, but it didn't blow out the power in the Superdome, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed on Monday. Goodell said, "There's no indication at all that this was caused by the halftime show. Absolutely not. I know that's been out there that this halftime show had something to do with it. That is not the case." The Superdome used a separate generator for the halftime show, added Goodell and Doug Thorton, VP of SMG, which manages the Superdome. Officials are still trying to pinpoint the exact cause of the blackout, which they believe occurred near the spot where power company Entergy New Orleans connects with the stadium's electrical system.
