A day after tornadoes and severe storms battered Middle Tennessee, power has been restored to most throughout the area.
At the peak of the storm, more than 11,000 Nashville customers were without electricity, according to the office of Emergency Management. This morning, the Nashville Electric Service reported, that tally had dropped to about 300 customers across Davidson County. Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation, which serves Sumner, Robertson, Cheatham and Montgomery counties, reported only three outages on the Sumner-Robertson line. Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation is reporting that virtually all electric service has been restored to Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson counties.
