Destiny Child Reunite For Super Bowl & Release Another Album

Beyonce has big plans for 2013 and she’s bringing her former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams along for the ride.

After a little speculation of whether there would be a reunion last year, US Weekly has confirmed that Destiny’s Child will reunite on stage for the first time in at least seven years, as part of Beyonce’s Super Bowl half-time show which will take place in New Orleans on Feb 3. Bey will open the show solo, and will be joined by Kelly and Michelle midway through the set to perform a medley of DC3′s greatest hits as well as a brand new song, titled “Nuclear.” The finale will be a new track from Beyonce’s upcoming fifth album which will more than likely make it’s way online the week of the Super Bowl.

This explains why all three girls were spotted in the Bahamas recently. There was definitely some work being done in the midst of vacationing.

To put the icing on the cake, Destiny’s Child will also release an album, titled Love Songs on the Tuesday before the Super Bowl. Now, before you get too excited, the collection will only feature one new song called “Nuclear,” but it will have all of your romantic, slow jam favorites from past DC3 albums like “Temptation,” “Brown Eyes,’ ‘Cater 2 U,”Love,’ and “T-Shirt.” There’s also a few bonus treats with Timbaland’s “Say My Name” remix from 2002 and Kelly’s “Heaven” from her 2002 solo record. This is one of those records you can listen to with your boo and never have to skip a track.

Last year, Matthew Knowles said that a Destiny’s Child reunion album was coming (for contractual reasons they had to do another album), and this was definitely the smartest way to fulfill those obligations.

Here’s the tracklisting:

1) Cater 2 U (2004 – Destiny Fulfilled)

2) Killing Time (1998 – Destiny’s Child)

3) Second Nature (1998 - Destiny’s Child)

4) Heaven (2002 – Simply Deep)

5) Now That She’s Gone (1999 – The Writing’s On The Wall)

6) Brown Eyes (2001 – Survivor)

7) If (2004 – Destiny Fulfilled)

8) Emotion (2001 – Survivor)

9) If You Leave (featuring Next) (1999 – The Writing’s On The Wall)

10) T-Shirt (2004 – Destiny Fulfilled)
