This morning we remember the Gentle Giant - Oscar Nominee Michael Clarke Duncan.

The celebrated actor of films such as The Green Mile andArmageddon was only 54 years old.

The actor was staying at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he was being treated for a heart attack.

According to a statement the hulking actor had "suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered."

I still say the Academy dropped the ball by not letting him take the Oscar for his role in Green Mile.  He played the hell out of that role.  He also had great comedic timing and was a person who volunteered for many community projects.
