Suspect Testing Gun for Sale Shoots Self in Crotch

Police in Oklahoma City say a felon who wanted to sell a firearm he bought off the street wanted to make sure he could stand by his product. Looking to test the pistol before he sold it, cops say 36-year-old Tavares Donnell Colbert inspected the weapon, and it discharged, hitting him in the groin.

Colbert, who has a lengthy criminal record, reportedly drove himself to the hospital -- where he was arrested after he was medically cleared, reports NewsOK.com.
