Former Three 6 Mafia Member Shot

Crunchy Black, a former member of the Oscar-winning rap group Three 6 Mafia, survived getting shot in the face and leg in an incident in Las Vegas early in the morning on July 1st, TMZ reports.

Black -- whose birth name is Darnell Carlton -- was snapped by the gossip site apparently throwing up gang signs from his hospital bed.

Police have no motive or suspects for the shooting.

Three 6 Mafia's 2005 song "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp," from the movie Hustle & Flow, won an Academy Award for best original song.
