• The New Edition offshoot was suggested by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
• BBD are considered pioneers of the New Jack Swing music movement.
• Although their last album, the self-titled BBD, was released in 2001, the guys continue to perform together.
• In addition to Jam and Lewis, BBD's debut album, also titled Poison, included production from Public Enemy.
