Nineteen more people have been indicted by a federal grand jury in connection with an on-going local and federal investigation addressing violent crime in the J.C. Napier public housing development, local, state and federal authorities announced Thursday.
David Rivera, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, joined by leaders with the Nashville Division of the ATF and the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department in a news release say criminal conduct covered by these latest indictments include four murders, multiple armed robberies, illegal firearms possession, unlawful drug trafficking and witness tampering.
Authorities say 17 other people were previously been charged with federal offenses in connection with a targeted investigation, which has been on-going since March 2015.
