CHRIS BROWN APPEARS IN COURT
Chris Brown appeared in an L-A court yesterday (Thursday) to answer felony charges stemming from his alleged beating of girlfriend Rihanna. Chris didn't enter a plea, and his arraignment was delayed until April 6th. The judge did give him a warning -- "Mr. Brown, you are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone."

When the judge asked Rihanna's attorney if there was a "no-contact order" in place, Donald Etra replied, "Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request such an order." According to T-M-Z, Chris stood emotionless in court, and spoke only four words to the judge -- "yes," "yes," and "yes ma'am." (audio)


TONI BRAXTON: Responds to "Phony Toni Show"
Toni Braxton has issued a statement to angry fans in the South American nation of Suriname who recently paid to see Braxton but quickly realized they were watching impersonator Trina Johnson. Braxton says, "Many apologies to the fans for the misrepresentation. We are working on finding out exactly what happened and what the whole situation was." Promoter Angel Ventura of Events 4 Suriname is accused of purposely trying to dupe patrons, and Johnson has since been arrested but maintains she did nothing wrong because she was simply hired to do a job. Police continue to investigate the matter. -- Jamila Daniel


CONSIDER THIS FUNERAL CRASHED
25-year-old Nicole Marie Loretta Leonard does not like funerals -- at all. The Candler, North Carolina woman interrupted a funeral by dancing in front of the congregation, waving a wand over the casket, opening the lid, laying her hands on the dead guy's head and hitting the carcass with the wand. The family was stunned by the events and quickly phoned the police. Leonard also took flowers from the casket and threw them at family members. She was charged with disturbing a funeral and public disorderly conduct. There was no relation between Leonard and the deceased man or his family.
