Wessyngton Plantation - Cedar Hill, TN

There is a place in Cedar Hill, TN that has a fascinating African/American-Slavery history. Remember, in order to know where you are going, you must first learn where you came from, The property is privately owned and there are generally no tours, however, my friend John Baker has gathered information and laboriously studied pictures and documents from this and other local plantations of old. His work, after 30 years of research, has culminated in an enlightening piece of literature entitled "The Washington's of Wessyngton Plantation; Stories of My Family's Journey to Freedom". It is a must read. You may even find that you or someone you know is a descendant of these great people.
