Cybercrime poses many challenges, but by working together we can make the Internet a safer, secure and more productive place. We would like to thank you, educators, for helping to teach the next generations about cybercrime and prevention. Executive summary The term "hacking" is used to describe the unlawful access of a computer system.38It is one of the oldest computer-related crimes,39and in recent years has become a mass phenomenon.40By targeting com- puter systems that host large databases, offenders can obtain identity-related data on a large scale,41 totally dominant in use, "cybercrime" is the term used most pervasively. In general, cybercrime has three categories: 1. Target cybercrime: the crime in which a computer is the target of the offense. 2. Tool cybercrime: the crime in which a computer is used as a tool in committing the offense. 3. Cyberattacks on critical infrastructure can have severe consequences for business, government and society: Malicious software, malware, or botnets used for large-scale attacks on information and communications structures, can disrupt the delivery of vital goods or services. Different Types of Cybercrime. There are different types of cybercrime in cyber world such as hacking, phishing, spyware, malware, ransom ware, and social engineering attack. Nowadays, cybercrime is one of the most profitable ways to make money in the cyber world. The main aim of cybercrime is to steal information, damage data, spread malware The third type of Cyber-crimes classification relate to Cybercrimes against organization. Cyber Terrorism is one discrete kind of crime in this kind. The growth of internet has shown that the standard of Cyberspace is being used by individuals and groups to pressure the international governments as also to terrorize the citizens of a country. CYBERCRIME Definition Cybercrime is a term that has come to be widely applied to a range of crimes and devi-ant behaviour facilitated, enabled or medi-ated by computers connected to the Internet. Originally a more restricted set of crimes, the list of possible activity that can come under the description of cybercrime has expanded This can include cyberstalking, distributing pornography and trafficking. Government: This is the least common cybercrime, but is the most serious offense. A crime against the government is also known as cyber terrorism. Government cybercrime includes hacking government websites, military websites or distributing propaganda.
