The Fivefold Ministry is for today. As the text clearly states, the Fivefold Ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers are purposed to build up the Body of Christ until the Body of Christ reaches unity of faith, knowledge, and is fully mature matching the fullness of Christ. Some question the relevancy of the Fivefold In the letter to the Ephesians, the apostle Paul describes the kind of leaders God has provided for His church for it to attain maturity and Christ-likeness, becoming the spotless Bride of Jesus. In this passage, Paul lists five offices that are referred to as the five-fold ministry: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. Fivefold Ministry consists of five functions or offices of function: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher. Their goal is not to serve themselves, but the flock of God, so that they would attain all the fullness in Christ (Eph 4:12-13).With transparency comes greater responsibility, and with These are often referred to as the "five-fold ministry" and are office gifts. "For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office" (Romans 12:4). When I first attended church as a child, I based my whole experience of Christianity on a small number of stories, told by well meaning 'Sunday school' teachers. As a consequence, I knew the story of Jonah and that big fish, Samson and the lack of hair and a little man who Fivefold Ministry Functions By Frank Dupree All Ministry comes from Jesus… In his seminal letter to the Ephesians the Apostle Paul introduces us to THE FIVEFOLD MINISTRY This is also known as "The Ascension Gift Ministries" because they were given when Christ Ascended into Heaven Ephesians 4:7-16
