An electrical ballast is a device placed in series with a load to limit the amount of current in an electrical circuit.. A familiar and widely used example is the inductive ballast used in fluorescent lamps to limit the current through the tube, which would otherwise rise to a destructive level due to the negative differential resistance of the tube's voltage-current characteristic. The 'stock' R-390A comes with a full complement of tube shields. For improved cooling and extended tube life (as per Army manual TM11-5820-358-20), all tube shields, except those on V201, V206, V505 and V701 can be removed. There does not appear to be any new leakage paths around the mechanical filters with any other tube shields removed. The replacement solid-state ballast tube run at low temperature with about 10 watts heat disapation. They have pilot lamp bulb in-rush current limiting to help reduce the risk of burn out of lamp when radio is first turned on. If ordering a replacement solid-state ballast I need the following information to confirm if the ballast tube The ARRL HANDBOOK 16-2 BALLAST TUBE HANDBOOK 19-5, 31-7 COMMUNICATION RECEIVERS - 1932-1981 20-2, 33-8 The COMPLETE HANDBOOK OF RADIO RECEIVERS and TRANSMITTERS 16-2 ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION 16-2 1/1/99 Please note that later volumes may supercede information in earlier ones. Although any number of tubes may be connected in parallel to attain any desired current, it is possible that a unit, which will meet your requirements, has already been Abstract. This work aims at investigating the impact of an Earth-Air Heat eXchanger (EAHX) on the thermal comfort when it is added to a natural nighttime ventilation for a house located in Marrakech (Morocco) which is characterized by a hot semi-arid climate. The thermal behavior of the house associated with this cooling combination was assessed using dynamic simulations. Two transient models Abstract.
