For its November installment of Regions Free Day, Regions Bank is offering free tickets to children and families across Middle Tennessee to attend Brown Bear, Brown Bear & Other Treasured Stories by Eric Carle at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) on Monday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
Fanciful puppetry, dramatic lighting, and original music transform the stage into magical, living pages from three award-winning classics by Eric Carle. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” captures the youthful delight of identifying colors and objects. “Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me” celebrates a father-daughter adventure and introduces the wonder of the lunar cycle. “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” follows a plucky and extremely hungry caterpillar, eating its way through a variety of foods on the path to becoming a butterfly. Produced by the internationally-acclaimed Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, this imaginative blend of puppetry and striking scenic effects is sure to captivate young audiences as the classic stories come to life before their eyes.
1,000 free tickets will be available for the performance on a first-come first-served basis beginning on Monday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. CST. Reservations can be made via an event page on TPAC’s website: https://patron.tpac.org/events/detail/brown-bear-brown-bear-hot-2016. (Once sold out, there will be a waiting list for tickets on the same site.) Limit of four tickets per person. This production is suitable for children in pre-kindergarten to first grade, however all ages are welcome to attend and participate.
Please note:
Regions Free Day is an annual initiative offering complimentary access to area blockbuster attractions or events. Regions Bank’s program allows Middle Tennessee residents to explore the fun and unique attractions Nashville has to offer at little or no cost.
