In 1996, the 23-year-old Maxwell took the music world by storm with his debut, Urban Hang Suite. He went on to become an R&B superstar and a leader in the neo-soul movement, winning two GRAMMYs and releasing four Platinum-selling albums. His signature throwback sound can be heard on the hits “Sumthin’ Sumthin’,” “Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder),” “Pretty Wings” and his unforgettable cover of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work.” You won’t want to miss the “Ambassador of Soul” for a rare and intimate performance at Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
