Tyler Perry is bringing his Madea character back to town for his latest stage presentation, "Madea’s Big Happy Family,” taking place February 24, 2010, at The Municipal Auditorium for a live performance.
The shows is at 8 p.m. February 24, 2010.
Tickets are $57-$67, on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the NMA box office outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000.
Of the show, Perry says "There is nothing like a live performance and if you’ve never seen a Madea play, then you haven’t seen Madea at all. It’s been five years sicne I’ve been on the road and the timing just happened to fall right into place. I needed to get away from Hollywood for a second…clear my head. There is no better way to do that than to come out and see your faces and be reminded of where this all started.”
Perry based his popular Madea character on his mother, who died at the age of 64.

Happy birthday and I pray that God blesses you with many more. Thanks for all you do for the Nashville and surrounding areas. Keeping us up-to-date on all important issues and also for just keeping a smile on our faces with joy and laughter. I truly enjoy your show. Keep up the good work.
