Tyler Perry is bringing his Madea character back to town for his latest stage presentation, "Madea’s Big Happy Family,” taking place February 24, 2010, at The Municipal Auditorium for a live performance.
The shows is at 8 p.m. February 24, 2010.
Tickets are $57-$67, on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the NMA box office outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000.
Of the show, Perry says "There is nothing like a live performance and if you’ve never seen a Madea play, then you haven’t seen Madea at all. It’s been five years sicne I’ve been on the road and the timing just happened to fall right into place. I needed to get away from Hollywood for a second…clear my head. There is no better way to do that than to come out and see your faces and be reminded of where this all started.”
Perry based his popular Madea character on his mother, who died at the age of 64.

First I would like to start out my saying happy birthday Mr Smoove. I had a birthday on yesterday and enjoyed it. Im a mother of three and have five grandbabies and would like a chance to go see Madea's movie. With the kids and grandchildren I really need a break and get out to get a laugh because I know Tyler will do the job. I love to watch all of Tyler's movies and always wanted to go to see a play in person but never had a chance. So Kenny please pick me to win the tickets and once again Happy Birthday.

I hope I win tickets. I sign up for everything and have never won nothing. I want to go but unless I find employment, like quick it won't happen. I am a fan but now I just get the DVD's rental. It would be great to take my Wife out. We haven't been anywhere fun for 3 years now.

That's my prayer for me to win a ticket to Madea's play, this will be the first that I missed in Nashville, due to a change in my income. God will take care of it and he will do the same for all of you out there that is going through hard times at this point in your life. Keep your faith and keep your head up, I know for myself it's hard and not just for single parent like me, it's hard for married,people without children. Please dont give up, He knows all.
