Tyler Perry is bringing his Madea character back to town for his latest stage presentation, "Madea’s Big Happy Family,” taking place February 24, 2010, at The Municipal Auditorium for a live performance.
The shows is at 8 p.m. February 24, 2010.
Tickets are $57-$67, on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the NMA box office outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000.
Of the show, Perry says "There is nothing like a live performance and if you’ve never seen a Madea play, then you haven’t seen Madea at all. It’s been five years sicne I’ve been on the road and the timing just happened to fall right into place. I needed to get away from Hollywood for a second…clear my head. There is no better way to do that than to come out and see your faces and be reminded of where this all started.”
Perry based his popular Madea character on his mother, who died at the age of 64.

I would like to win the tickets so I can take my mother who will be retiring from teaching after 36 years in May. I want to take her to different events until the big day and then we will celebrate with a retirement party. She has never seen a Tyler Perry production live so this would be a real treat for her.

With (2) boys in college I can't plug this into my income. You know "a mind is a terrible to waste", especially if you're an African-American male. I know they would buy it for me if possible.
