Tyler Perry is bringing his Madea character back to town for his latest stage presentation, "Madea’s Big Happy Family,” taking place February 24, 2010, at The Municipal Auditorium for a live performance.

The shows is at 8 p.m. February 24, 2010.

Tickets are $57-$67, on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the NMA box office outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000.

Of the show, Perry says "There is nothing like a live performance and if you’ve never seen a Madea play, then you haven’t seen Madea at all. It’s been five years sicne I’ve been on the road and the timing just happened to fall right into place. I needed to get away from Hollywood for a second…clear my head. There is no better way to do that than to come out and see your faces and be reminded of where this all started.”

Perry based his popular Madea character on his mother, who died at the age of 64.

That would be something for my daughter(age 15) and I to attend to show her that it's okay to hangout with your mother sometimes. Since she's going through the stage that it's not cool to hangout with your mother.

I watch the House of Payne and Meet the Brown every Wednesday on TBS. Been here since 2005 and never had a chance to win anything on the radio.
